Warm funky hoodies for disadvantaged

Upon arrival, they were given Jersey’s4Jozi hoodies which came in red, grey and white although that wasn’t the only gift that they received during the 67 minutes of helping others.

“We’ve hired the hall and we’re giving out warm funky hoodies to disadvantaged people but we’re also trying to bridge the divide,” said Director of Jersey’s4Jozi Wael Benjamin.

Attendees were also given a choice of hot dogs or soup and bread which they enjoyed in the morning.

Carry and Greg who volunteer at the NGO say that they didn’t only want to celebrate Mandela Day and do good during the 67 minutes but they wanted to be the change that they want to see.
