Crime spree halted at Comaro Crossing

Two vehicles stolen in different incidents were recovered at the scene.

THREE housebreakers were apprehended at Comaro Crossing by Moffatview SAPS, the JMPD and the Moffatview Community Policing Forum (CPF) on November 11.

The three suspects were arrested in Oakdene after they were followed by the police from the scene of a housebreaking in Soweto where they stole goods from the home and made off with a new Toyota Corolla which was also stolen from the property.

Two suspects were found in the blue Toyota Corolla and one suspect was found in a Red VW Polo GTI which is also suspected to have been stolen. The police managed to track the suspects down with the assistance of a tracking device fitted to the Corolla.

Moffatview SAPS communications officer, Constable Rebecca Bila said: “Two vehicles were recovered from the suspects that were stolen from different crime scenes. The suspects were charged with the possession of suspected stolen vehicles.”

Moroka SAPS in Soweto will investigate the matter further.
