Successful Sector 2 CPF fundraiser

Sector 2 CPF is one step closer to achieving their goal of setting up a radio base station.

JOHANNESBURG SOUTH – Residents came out in their numbers to support the Mondeor Sector 2 CPF mini crime drive and fundraiser held in Suideroord on September 12.

The fundraiser is one of many ways the Sector 2 CPF hopes to raise enough money towards purchasing two-way radios, a radio base station and repeaters which are needed to effectively carry out their policing functions.

Mondeor Sector 2 CPF’s Michelle Pelser said the forum is in the process of applying for a two-way radio station license.

“We have to raise R150 000 towards this project and to date we have raised R35 000. With the drive and fundraiser we managed to raise just over R5 000. We are going on a big drive to collect monies so that we can apply for the licence; this is one of our many important projects that we need to drive fast. It will help if we could get more support from the community,” said Pelser.

Sector 2 CPF thanks the residents and sponsors for supporting and joining the mini crime drive and fundraiser. For more information or to donate to the CPF contact Pelser on 084 292 9144.
