Spring dinner for Woman@Work

The new season was celebrated by ladies at the Woman@Work event on Wednesday September 9 at Glenvista Country Club.

GLENVISTA – Coordinator of Woman@Work, Toni Mackrell, welcomed the ladies to the spring dinner and introduced Shelby Zimmerman from the Sunflower Foundation as well as guest speaker Octavia Ephraim.

Shelby explained what the Sunflower Foundation is about. “The Sunflower Fund was originally formed in 1999 in support of the SA Bone Marrow Registry, which helps find and match bone marrow stem cell donors to patients who need a transplant. They provide hope to those suffering from leukaemia and other life threatening blood disorders,” she said. Shelby encouraged the ladies to support National Bandana Day on October 12.
