Budler up for the challenge
The Uncivil War boxing tournament will have five action packed bouts.
HEKKIE Budler will put both his world titles on the line when he faces Eastern Cape challenger, Simphiwe Khonco, in the Uncivil War boxing tournament.
The action packed five bout evening is presented by Golden Gloves Promotors in partnership with Emperors Palace and will take place on Saturday, September 19, at Emperors Palace. The boxing action will start at 19:00.
The main bout will feature double world title holder, Hekkie Budler, who has put his WBA and IBO minimumweight titles on the line. Khonco has put the word out that he will be taking the two world titles back to his home in Mthatha, Eastern Cape.
“We all know that he is a good boxer and he will be coming for me but we have trained hard and I am not prepared to part with my titles” Budler said at the press conference held at the Hot Box Gym.
In another Uncivil War bout Ryno Liebenberg, also from Hot Box Gym, will face Makhosandile Zwengu.
