JOHANNESBURG SOUTH – On September 10, two suspects, aged between 19 and 21 years old, were apprehended in Ridgeway by crime fighting community members.
According to Mondeor SAPS, two women were walking in Jeannette Street when the men approached them and threatened them with knives. The men took their cell phones before making a run for it.
The victims screamed for help and members of the community chased after the suspects and apprehend them.
Mondeor SAPS would like to commend the community in responding to the call for help. Both suspects were detained by Mondeor SAPS and charged with robbery with a knife.
