Morning collison: Cause of accident still under investigation

The morning mist caused commotion on the R550 this morning (July 8), when two vehicles collided leaving passengers injured.

According to ER24 spokesperson, Russel Meiring, three men sustained minor injuries after a light motor vehicle rear-ended another.

“Paramedics from the ER24 East Branch responded to the scene and on their arrival, found two cars parked on the side of the road.”

Passengers from both vehicles sustained minor to moderate injuries. The victims were treated on scene and then transported to hospitals in the vicinity for further medical treatment.

The cause of the accident is still unknown and authorities are investigating.
