False scare at The Glen
Social media abuzz about evacuation at The Glen Shopping Centre.
Residents reacted swiftly on social media following reports that The Glen Mall was being evacuated on May 11.
Mall management told the CHRONICLE that there was no evacuation in process and everything was business as usual.
Residents also confirmed on Facebook that it was a false alarm, alleging that there was a small fire in the Centre.
Glenvista CPF alerted residents via a Facebook post, “We are receiving information that The Glen Shopping Centre is being evacuated. If you are there let us know what you see or have heard. We will update as soon as we can.”
Soon after they updated that, “It is apparently a false alarm, all appears to be in order.”
