Driver purposefully tries to run down two walkers

GLENVISTA – “We always walk close to or on the pavement and if we see a car approaching keep close on the inside. The road was quiet with only this car so we didn’t think we were in any danger until we saw the driver coming towards us and suddenly realised he was actually driving straight at us. It was light and we were clearly visible.

“I pulled my friend with me onto the pavement and we screamed out at him. He actually had the audacity to peep his horn at us as he drove off!

“He was an African man and we only managed to see the first two letters of the car’s registration number, CY. ….,  the colour of the car was pewter grey,” the women said.

Walkers and runners are advised to be cautious and to keep alert at all times.
