Load shedding relief for South

A postponement of load shedding in the South was announced for the day.

JOHANNESBURG SOUTH – No planned load shedding is scheduled by City Power in the South on December 9. This after nearly four days of power cuts in certain areas.

It seems the bad news has made its way to the northwest suburbs of Johannesburg where in over 15 areas stage one load shedding can be expected. Scheduled load shedding will also happen in Doornfontein.

The planned power outages have been as a result of City Power’s efforts to execute maintenance and emergency duties to correct defects in the network, ensuring substations function at their maximum potential.

Stage one scheduled load shedding, as per the City Power website, in areas including Bassonia, Mulbarton, Oakdene, Glenvista and Glenanda, could happen on December 12, but nothing has been confirmed.

Stage three load shedding can also be expected in areas such as Ormonde, Mondeor, Linmeyer, LaRochelle, Liefde en Vrede, Kibler Park, Bassonia Rock, Mulbarton, Glenesk and Booysens amoung other areas affected.

The CHRONICLE will keep residents posted on any more news from City Power and Eskom.
