ACCORDING to the Glenvista CPF three armed robbers have been arrested.
Remarkable teamwork between Mondeor SAPS, Glenvista, Bassonia and Mulbarton CPF patrollers, Capital Air, Chubb, SOG security and D&D resulted in the arrest of three suspects who were involved in an armed robbery early in the morning on November 12.
The suspects were arrested within 15 minutes of their crime.
Five males held up residents and contractors at a house in Ouderberg Street at about 8:45.
They took cellphones and other goods while the residents were tied up with cable ties.
According to the CPFF Glenvista Facebook page, the mistake these suspects made was that two of the contractors were CPF patrollers. They contacted the CPF immediately.
CPF, SAPS and security companies surrounded the area and arrested three of the five suspects. The search for the other two suspecta continues.
“A big thank you for all patrollers and SAPS and security companies for a quick, organised and successful response. It seems the suspects will be the ones wearing cable ties,” the Glenvista CPF added.
