BASSONIA – The incident took place at a home on the corner of Basroyd Drive and Beverly Avenue, when a family arrived home from shopping.
According to Michelle Pelser from Mondeor Community Policing Forum, who was contacted by the CHRONICLE, the suspects gained entry into the family’s home after they had held them up. They ransacked the home and took two vehicles, a silver BMW, which was discovered by SAPS Joburg Flying Squad later the same evening in Soweto and a Ford ST, registration WMS 551 GP, which hasn’t been recovered as yet.
The family received counselling from Community Police Forum Victim Support.
The suspects are still on the run.
