Boxers making weight

All the boxers made their weight limits at the IBO title fights weigh-in and medicals.

Fighting Force took place on November 9 at Emperoros Palace and the weigh-in took place on November 8.

Apart for all the boxers who met the limit, IBO super-middleweight title holder Tommy Oosthuizen had to drop weight.

As much as he may deny it, the effects of weight-draining are plain to see and his days at super-middleweight are surely over. His claim that weight was no problem looked ridiculous when he weighed in over the limit on Friday and at the very least he needs to be sat down and told a few home truths.

Promoter Rodney Berman had said this fight would be a good yardstick of his talent and unfortunately Oosthuizen failed to measure up. He won far less impressively than Edwin Rodriguez, who beat Maderna earlier in the year and soon challenges WBA champion Andre Ward, and will have gone back in the estimation of many fans.
