To close of the Heritage Month, seniors of Reuven Retirement Village were treated to a beautiful afternoon of entertainment by Joburg Meals on Wheels.

Reuven Retirement Village recently hosted a vibrant celebration to mark the conclusion of Heritage Month, inviting seniors to an afternoon filled with music, dance, and community spirit.

The event provided a relaxing and enjoyable experience for the residents, and it certainly delivered.

The highlight of the afternoon was an engaging performance by The Old Time Sparkies, who entertained attendees with a repertoire of songs spanning from the 1960s to the present day.

The nostalgic tunes had the seniors singing, clapping, and dancing, creating an atmosphere of joy and connection.

Adding to the festivities, the South Side Gumboot Dancers amazed the audience with their energetic performances, showcasing a rich cultural heritage that captivated the crowd.

Local soloist Melvin Clement Charles also took the stage, delivering heartfelt renditions of his music that resonated deeply with the audience.

Because the event was a collaborative effort, the organisers extended their gratitude to several contributors. They thanked Christine Crossley from Meals on Wheels and Caregivers SA, whose support was instrumental in the event’s success.
