JOY Dogs spread happiness during successful tour

JOY Dogs brought smiles and wagging tails to residents during a successful tour in KwaZulu Natal.

Renowned JOY Dogs, under the leadership of Sue Green, embarked on a promotional tour organised by Dulux, leaving a trail of joy and positive experiences in KwaZulu Natal – Umhlanga, Ballito, and beyond.

This delightful journey took place from November 2 to 7, featuring the incredible bond between humans and canines, all while promoting Dulux paint products.

Spreading joy and promoting Dulux

Sue Green, the owner of the JOY Dogs, expressed immense satisfaction with the trip’s outcome.

“The dogs were great, the promotions were successful, and the people were fantastic. The weather smiled upon us, making it an all-around positive experience,” she shared.

Engaging with the public

According to Green, the journey, which began in January, marks nearly a year of spreading joy across various communities.

“I collaborated with Dulux for almost 30 years, and have witnessed the positive impact that the JOY Dogs bring to promotional events. Engaging with the public during the tour, people had the chance to interact with the JOY Dogs, take pictures, and experience the unique charm these dogs bring to any occasion.

“The collective efforts of JOY Dogs and Dulux have proven to be an effective strategy in increasing paint sales. As the public becomes more familiar with the brand through these delightful interactions,” said Green.

Green added that for her and JOY Dogs, the trip was not without its challenges, as they encountered flat tires along the way.

“Traveling in a specially adapted Suzuki Ertiga, with limited luggage space and special food for the dogs, we faced obstacles. However, these challenges did little to dampen the spirits of myself and my canine companions,” said Green.

Beyond promotion

Green expressed that the journey with the JOY Dogs began around 30 years ago with a mission to spread happiness through the charm of her specially-trained dogs.

“The JOY Dogs, including Jade, Orion, and Yola, have become household names, particularly for their roles in Dulux’s television advertisements. Beyond promotional events, my dogs and I contribute to the community by visiting retirement homes and schools, serving as emotional support animals,” said Green.
