SOJO Joburg South Experience winner takes prizes worth R25 000
Winner Ramon Petersen entered the competition at the Rand Show’s SOJO Business and Tourism stand.
The winner of the incredible SOJO Joburg South Experience prize valued at over R25 000 was Ramon Petersen.
He was invited to Gold Reef City on April 20, where the sponsors gathered to hand over the fantastic prizes.
Little did his partner Gabriella Fonseca know that he had arranged a surprise proposal. After Ramon received the prizes, he got down on one knee and proposed as the crowd cheered. Luckily, Gabriella said ‘yes’.
Gold Reef City arranged champagne and canapés in a gondola on the Giant Wheel for the happy couple to revel in the special moment.
CEO of SOJO Business and Tourism Nicky Vakaloudis said they were grateful to their SOJO members who came together to create this wonderful experience and make the occasion memorable.

Visitors could enter into the lucky draw sponsored by SOJO members with prizes, including an R10 000 Key to the City from Gold Reef City, one night at Thaba Eco Hotel, including breakfast with an eco-drive for two, two VIP suite tickets with VIP parking for Monster Jam at FNB Stadium, a shopping experience at Mall of the South supported by Indy Kart Racing, Plaasmeisie and The Sweet Box and two VIP tickets to a Turfontein Racecourse April event.
“Each entry had a number. We simply let Google choose a random number, and Ramon Petersen was declared the winner,” said Vakaloudis.
