Community members have been urged to avoid South Rand Hospital situated at 33 Friars Hill Road, The Hill, Johannesburg South and its surrounding due to the protests.
Reports suggest that the hospital staff has on Monday decided to down tools demanding a salary increase.
Several hospitals saw health practitioners blockading hospital entrances with burning tires, rocks, and debris.
