WATCH: Fun had at James Hall Museum of Transport as families gather together

Those interested in history and historical artefacts were treated to guided museum tours where they saw the City's valuable transportation collection, memorabilia, and other objects of artistic, cultural, historical, or scientific significance.

Families in Johannesburg were in for a treat on November 26 when the Creative Native Vintage Motor Show and picnic returned for another edition of a lively event.

Families came to enjoy one of Johannesburg’s premier classic and vintage car events.

The event, held at the James Hall Museum of Transport, was a celebration of the history of Johannesburg’s land transport and an opportunity for friends and families to get together for a fun day of exciting experiences and entertaining activities.

Every member of the friend group and/or family was catered for. Those interested in history and historical artefacts were treated to guided museum tours where they saw the City’s valuable transportation collection, memorabilia, and other objects of artistic, cultural, historical, or scientific significance.

There was a curated outdoor exhibition of classic and vintage cars by several motor clubs and private collectors for vintage car enthusiasts.

Adventurers can explore the city on the museum’s iconic 1952 vintage London Bus, while collectors of beautiful things can visit and buy from the vintage craft market.

The event’s November instalment expanded its programme to include children’s activities, allowing the kids to have as much fun as the adults.
