13 women share their life stories in one book

Made to Last, a new standalone book by different authors from variety of backgrounds, was successfully inaugurated at Alberton Civic Centre.

Thirteen multi-generational women from diverse backgrounds launched a book titled Made to Last at the Alberton Civic Centre on April 1.

Made to Last is published under Eden Park’s author and the founder of I Matter, Natalie Abrahams, popularly known as coach Natz.

According to Natalie, the objective was to assemble the stories of various women into a single book.

This was done by inspiring women to share their stories and take control of their victories against abuse, mental health and financial planning.

“The book also touches on family challenges, substance addiction, adultery, divorce, teen pregnancy, women supporting women, and single mom life,” Natalie continued.

“This was the most difficult project I had to deal with. I drove everyone to the edge but through individualised support from everyone we managed to make the event to be a success,” said Coach Natz.

The collection comprises stories from South African women, whose experiences provide insight into life’s highs and lows.

The 13 super-warriors will also be hosting a 13 weeks online radio talk show hosted by coach Natalie to discuss the book, where every writer will be interviewed individually about her life story.

The featured writers include Natalie Abrahams, Maggie Molokomme, Nicole Malgas, Chanell Theron, Nicola Comninos, Rabia Lenton, Tsidiso Nyide, Esmeralda Ponsonby, Grezelda Nelson, Melissa Jacobs-Visser, Glaudia Beans, Verculine Bannett and Tivania Moodley.

The book is available on Amazon at R220 a copy.
