Getting ahead with your career at Believers Care Society

No fees are required and only unemployed and unskilled youth are accepted.

Every year, for the past 11 years, over 16 000 youth has benefited from the programmes offered by Believers Care Society Youth Development entre (BCS) at no cost.

BSC runs different projects to help the youth of the South and Johannesburg communities to have direction and get a headstart to a career life.

Services range from skills development training with over 21 accredited qualifications to choose from, entrepreneurship hub where SMMEs receives free office spaces to run their business enterprises.

They also offer social work services through the in-house social worker that provides counselling and Godly direction to the youth.

Then there is a job centre for information and free internet access, youth club activities where talents are sharpened and harnessed.

Community and family volunteering services form part of their programme where young people learn the act of giving back and social responsibility as well as moral instruction sessions where the youth are taught to embrace Godliness as the means to true leadership and greatness.

BCS conducts community outreaches to reach out to young people giving them several opportunities. They conduct health promotion services to teach the youth a healthy lifestyle and their advisory centres assist with employment placements and other economic opportunities.

All these place BCS as a one-stop centre for holistic youth development services.

New intake is now on

They are now inviting the unemployed and unskilled youth to register for the August intake for accredited skills development training programme, at no cost.

The programme is already supported through the Gauteng Department of Social Development. Registration closes on August 5.

Classes resume on August 16. Courses enrolling: office skills/admin, computer course, project management, mobile engineering, contact centre support/call centre course, computerized bookkeeping/pastel accounting, graphic/multimedia design, CISCO IT essentials, business management and administration.

Certificate of Competence is issued at the successful completion of the course.

Requirements: certified copy of ID, proof of residence or police affidavit confirming their address, short CV, and previous qualifications, all certified. Duration is three months, six months and 12 months respectively, attending from Monday to Friday for four hours each day.

Covid-19 protocols must be adhered to.

Who qualifies?

To qualify one must be between 18 and 35 years, with a matric or equivalent, Grade 10s and 11s are also taken. You must be willing to study and complete training/project duration.

BCS provides daily lunch to all learners in the skills training programme, there is transportation to pick and drop learners at designated points and learning centres, you need to enquire if you need transportation.
