South Rand Hospital hosted a successful pregnancy awareness campaign

“I encourage all woman out there to come and get much-needed advice when they are expecting. Also, we give them medication which will help them,” said Mailila.

South Rand Hospital hosted a five-day pregnancy awareness campaign from February 10 to 15.

The purpose of the awareness campaign was to educate pregnant women on living a healthy life while pregnant.

Even men attended to also be taught how to help their partners during pregnancy.

Matron Nomvula Mailula, said giving pregnant women advice on how to manage themselves during pregnancy is important.

“I encourage all woman out there to come and get much-needed advice when they are expecting. Also, we give them medication which will help them,” said Mailila.

One of the pregnant women Nombasa Ntonta said this awareness campaign is helpful.

“We get to understand how important it is to living a healthy life and befriend hospital or clinic staff during pregnancy,” said Ntonta.
