TALTITHA BEDFORD: “It is a problem at times, especially when they leave a mess behind. South Africa is not concerned enough with recycling. And it is a danger on the roads.”
THE Comaro Chronicle’s readers were asked if the recycling men pose a threat to drivers on the road with their loaded and unmarked trolleys.
PIETER REDELUNGHUYS: “These people are trying to make a living for themselves. They are doing good, and so I do not find their trolleys to be a problem at all.”JOSEPH NTSLALA: “It’s a good thing that recycling is taking place, but the trolleys do pose a definite danger to drivers, and to the men themselves.”ERYN HANEKOM: “It is an inconvenience that can be overlooked, but I do wish there were better systems in place, to make it both safer for the ones who recycle and for the drivers.”NICKY VAN HEERDEN: “I believe these guys are doing something to make a difference and I do not find them to be a nuisance.”
