AN armed robbery took place on Thursday, January 24 at 5.30pm, at The Glen Shopping Centre, when an unknown amount of perpetrators stormed into NWJ store.
Everyone in the store was ordered to lie down and the robbers took an undisclosed amount of jewellery.
No shots were fired and no one suffered any injuries. The robbers fled the centre in a white Toyota Corolla, registration HN96 XKGP. Moffat View SAPS attended the crime scene and they said four armed perpetrators were involved.
The Glen Shopping Centre was asked for comment.

“Security personnel in conjunction with the South African Police Services responded to a robbery at 5.30pm at NWJ jewellery store at The Glen. The scene was secured and no persons were injured during the incident.
The suspects are still at large and police are investigating the incident. The Centre is currently trading as normal. Security remains a priority at The Glen and we are proactively working with the SAPS.”
