South Rand Hospital honours staff

All staff members who worked tirelessly throughout the year were awarded certificates and trophies as a sign of appreciation.

SOUTH Rand Hospital awards-giving ceremony took place on November 28 at the hospital’s hall, The Hill, where workers were honoured for their excellent work and dedication.

All staff members who worked tirelessly throughout the year were awarded certificates and trophies as a sign of appreciation.

In her address, the hospital’s chief executive officer Nobathu Maleka said it was often hard for them to do their jobs effectively. |This was because of the lack of resources. However, despite those difficulties, she was proud of her staff for showing dedication despite all the shortcomings.

“With all the challenges we come across, we need to work smarter and efficient to get good results. Given the challenges, I am in awe of the staff members of South Rand, and honour you for showing up every day at work even though we are understaffed. You guys try by all means to do your best,” Maleka said.

The awards went to the best driver, Solly Makhgohloa; CEO’s award, Thembekile Ncube (operational manager maternity ward); porter’s award, Richard Tshibiyande; speech and audiology, Bianca Viera; radiology, Bongiwe Cheba; and therapist, Janice Cowley.
