A bouquet to The Pool Team

The Bag Lady is back with shopping news and a taste of the weather.

I’m back! Hope you all missed me or actually even realised I was missing from last week’s papers. To the readers who wrote me an email asking if I was okay, thank you so much, and yes I am fine. And to the others who said they missed reading their favourite piece, thank you. I really appreciate it.

Anyway back to business.

Isn’t the weather strange? Early last week was boiling hot, with extreme winds. I battled to keep my car in the right lane on the highway and then it cooled down and there was snow on Table Mountain. Well, we have been advised of climate change and I think it’s definitely happening. Not only here but worldwide. Soon we could experience the same weather patterns as the UK; rain in the morning, sun by lunchtime, gale force winds at tea time and then finishing off with yet more rain. Oh well, it makes life interesting that’s for sure.

ROMEO SIGNATURE BLEND: Perfect for the early bird who needs a dark roast to kick-start the day.

Introducing Foreign Ground blends

With International Coffee Day (October 1) just around the corner, Checkers has expanded its coffee collection with the introduction of three new coffee blends to its popular Foreign Ground range. The blends marry coffee beans from different origins to enhance the best qualities of each and are available in the following three flavours: Foreign Ground Bravo Blend, with exquisite coffee beans from Guatemala, Colombia and Ethiopia. This blend will delight your senses with full-bodied flavour and hints of ripe berries. Foreign Ground Romeo Blend, perfect for the early bird who needs a dark roast to kick-start the day. It’s rich with chocolaty notes and made using coffee beans from Honduras, Guatemala and Brazil. Foreign Ground Sierra Blend. The secret behind this new blend is a rich, smooth and perfectly balanced brew with sweet, zesty and fruity notes, expertly selected beans from Ethiopia, Brazil and Honduras.

Bouquet of the Week

Sylvia Colville gives a huge bouquet to The Pool Team at the Glenvista Shopping Centre for assistance.

“These days it is all too common that we hear complaints about the lack of service and integrity of the companies that we deal with and it is not the norm to draw attention to those who do offer an exemplary service. I needed my Dominator Lite pool cleaner repaired and I went to The Pool Team. What a pleasure. Brandon, who manages the branch, truly went all the way to assist me with this. I am so super impressed and extremely grateful. Thank you.”

That’s it for this week. Shop till you drop.
