Two suspects have been apprehended and one police member has been shot in the hand after a robbery and hijacking today, August 24, at about 11:20am.
The Mondeor Police members were patrolling along Ormonde Mondeor when they saw a suspicious blue BMW.
A shooting ensued after they tried to stop the vehicle.
The vehicle was chased until Swartgoud and two males aged 22 and 24 were brought in to Mondeor in connection with the incident .
During this incident there were two other live crime scenes that occurred in the south of Johannesburg. Southgate Mall was evacuated earlier today due to a bomb scare after a suspicious device was found.
A shooting also occurred in the south.
