Robertsham church celebrates women and their role in the community

The Women's Day celebration will take place at the church.

The Robertsham Methodist Church is hosting a Women’s Day Celebration on August 26, celebrating women and the role they play in the community.

The Women’s Day celebration will take place at the church from 9am to 2pm.

 

The Community that the church serves is facing challenges such as high rates of crime, unemployment, drug and alcohol abuse, human trafficking.

Women are the most vulnerable , however the focus will not be of women as victims just like the women of 1956, our Women as child bearers and nurturers have an important role to play in addressing these challenges.

Speakers who will be addressing the audience will be: Ms Naledi Mqhayi a Clinical Psychologist on ” Overcoming Societal Barriers “.

The aims for the fundraising are for:

  1. Mentoring a Girl Child projects
  2. Women Empowerment Projects
