GALLERY: Overwhelming Mandela Day support for TLC Children’s Home

Several organisations and individuals took time to support TLC Children's Home in several ways.

TLC CHILDREN’S Home in Eikenhof was a hive of activities on Mandela Day as several organisations and individuals took time to visit and make donations to the home in the spirit of celebrating Madiba’s centennial.

The organisations were involved in several on-site and some off-site activities like baby food preparation, biscuit decoration, making memory album pages, beading for babies, steam cleaning, painting, packing school lunches and many more.

BRIGHTER DAYS: Nick Hooper from NewsCafe took time to make drawings and decorate TLC Children’s Home pre-school corridors as part of his 67minutes for Mandela.

MTN, Standard Bank, Lancet Laboratories, Bain, Del Forno, TCS Consulting Services, Afribrands, GP Retail Operations, IMS, M de Wet Promotions, Workflow Managed Services (Pty) Ltd, Krispy Kreme, News Café, Wescoal, SAFPS, Riskcon, E B Blue Star, RBB Economics, Reliable Rigging, S’innamon PR & Communications and Daisy Business Solutions are some of the many organisations that supported TLC during their Mandela Day celebrations.

Pippa Jarvis, managing director of the children’s home expressed gratitude over the different organisations and individuals who supported the home.

“Mandela Day is usually one of our busiest days of the year and it’s humbling to see how many people and organisations always have our babies in mind. We are grateful for the continued support and invite more to our home,” she said.

FIX THEM: Maseko, Nombuso Ndlovu,Hillary Defleuriot and Kelebogile Vilakazi from Lancet Laboratories took their time to fix and sort a bunch of socks for the children at TLC.
LIVING HEALTHY: Ingersoll Rand employees helped with sorting a vegetable garden for TLC Children’s Home.
