WARNING: Dry Tuesday (July 17) for some parts of the South

Residents should store enough water to use during the water supply cut.

Ward 56 councillor Michael Crichton has advised residents to store enough water to use for the day following a planned cut off in water supply in some parts of Johannesburg South tomorrow (July 17).

Turffontein, Kenilworth, Forest Hill, Haddon, Turf Club, Towerby, Oakdene, Gillview, parts of Winchester Hills Extension 13, Johannesburg CBD, Booysen, Booysen Reserve, Springfield, Genesis, Rosettenville, Rosettenville Ext One and Two, Oakdene extension, Bellavista and Linbro Park are some of the areas that will not have water supply.

Water will be off from 7am until 8pm as Rand Water will be working on a mag flow meter replacement for improved service delivery and a continuation of water supply.

An alternative source of supply will be available outside the forest hill water tower in Rifle Range Road to be provided to critical areas such as hospitals, schools, old age homes and many more.

Crichton urged residents to fill up buckets, bottles and bathtubs to cater for your water needs for the day.
