Lusito and St Martin’s join hands

AFTER months of research, meetings and negotiations with various stakeholders and organisations, Lusito Association has entered into an agreement with St Martin’s School and on June 20, the new partnership began.

Lusito Association’s dream has been to own their own land, develop the land, as well as have private schooling facilities for junior and seniors; creating a financial sustaining model for the Lusito Association for years to come. It is envisaged that the new St Martin’s High School and Prep School campuses will be built on a property of about 15 hectares which will be purchased from the Lusito Association.

The current high school campus in Rosettenville and the prep school in The Hill will continue to operate. St Martin’s is ‘merely’ growing and establishing an additional campus in the New South.

The agreement with Lusito kick-starts phase one, a process of investigations including environmental impact assessments, architectural work, site development and various other studies that need to be conducted.

“This day marked a milestone in our collective dreams and we are proud to be partnering with an excellent educational institution, St Martin’s. And so a hugely exciting journey begins,” said both stakeholders.
