Two die in accident on Columbine Ave
The accidents occurred on Friday night, two on Kliprivier Drive and one on Columbine Avenue.
TWO people, a 35-year-old male and a 26-year-old female, were killed in a fatal accident that occurred on Friday night on Columbine Avenue.
It is alleged that the male and female, travelling in a gold VW, were speeding down Columbine Avenue when they lost control of their vehicle and drove into the Engen garage and into a wall.
“Third accident for the night, sadly two people lost their lives tonight at the Engen garage on Columbine Avenue, Mondeor,” read a post by Michelle Pelser on the Mondeor SAPS Sector Two crime forum Facebook page.
According to Pelser, another two accidents occurred on Kliprivier Drive. One was at the intersection of Columbine Avenue and Kliprivier Drive where a vehicle skipped a red robot and collided with another.
The second one occurred when a speeding vehicle drove into a stationary vehicle that had stopped at a red robot. The speeding car hit the car from the back and pushed it for about 100 metres. This was on the Kliprivier onramp N12 West.
The Mondeor Sector Two Community Policing Forum (CPF) was on scene at all three accidents with the relevant emergency services.
