Awaiting trial after allegedly beating son to death

Five months later and the family is still left with unanswered questions.

A TRAGIC case of a five-year-old who died on route to hospital after an alleged beating continues as his father starts trial on February 16.

Caleb Ouman died on August 3, 2017, after an alleged assault by his father Seisax Boesak (35).

Boesak is in police custody facing a murder charge.

A memorial was held for Ouman by the Bellavista community in September.

Controversy still surrounds the untimely death of Ouman and police are still investigating the matter.

Ward 55 councillor Rashieda Landis who has been at the forefront of exposing the truth in Ouman’s death said she wants justice to be served.

Landis was at the Johannesburg High Court on January 25 when Seisax was expected to appear.

She received reports of Seisax pleading guilty and the court date was moved to February 16.

Five months later and the family is still left with unanswered questions to Caleb’s senseless and untimely death.

Boesak was previously arrested in December 2016 for assault but was released after charges against him were dropped.

One of Ouman’s aunts Lily Wilson said young Caleb was loved by many in the community.

She said the family is still taking it very hard.
