3: The Art Farm is hosting their first-ever film festival from November 3 to 5. A crew of 20 will be showcasing how a film is written, prepped, shot and edited in the course of two days. This session is run by Morne Lane who authored the runaway comedy hit of 2017 Kampterrein. All times, films, workshops, prices and some previews are listed on The Art farm’s Facebook and web page. They will show you how to use the app to identify trees and to discover a whole lot more, whether or not you have the app on a smart device. The Red Windmill Village Market is held every Saturday and Sunday. Get away from the city and spend some time in the country air at our Victorian Village which is only 20 minutes from Southgate. There will be fresh produce, various food stalls, a coffee shop, nursery, mushrooms, second-hand bookshop, home industry, arts and crafts etc. It is open every Saturday and Sunday from 9am to 3pm. It is situated on 104 Main Road, Walkerville. There is also a children’s petting park and over 50 covered stalls are proposed for early next year. New stallholders welcome. Klipriviersberg Nature Reserve Association. For all walks meet at entrance precinct, Peggy Vera Road, Kibler Park. Mondays:

Tai chi classes for adults are available at Martial Centre in Winchester Hills. Classes are on Monday and Wednesday from 7pm to 8pm and from 6.30am to 7.30am on Saturdays. This is an ideal form of exercise for over-40s. Tai chi is a martial art but is practised at a slower pace. Choir members are urgently needed for a multi-denominational choir called Under His Wings, under the leadership of Claude Weeder.
