Youth battle for bragging rights

The winning crew received a cash prize of R1500 and bragging rights of being the best dance crew for the night.

WINDS of Change church hosted its first-ever epic ‘battle of the dance crews’ which saw groups dance for bragging rights and a cash prize, on July 28.

The Winds of Change youth group, JAM, saw 10 dance crews from all over the South come together to battle. The finals saw almost every kind of dance style – from hip hop and krumping to pantsula and contemporary – portrayed on the dance floor.

The winners were the Spartans, Rhythmic Solutions were placed second and Divergant achieved third place. The winning crew received a cash prize of R1 500 and bragging rights for being the best dance crew on the night.

On the judging panel for the evening were Ricardo Meyers (member of Winds of Change), Amu Railo (member of Winds of Change) and Jonathan Retief (representative from No Limits Academy).

Winds of Change Church congratulates the winners and thanks all the dance crews who participated in the battle, namely Spartans, Rhythmic Sollutions, Divergant, X crew, Bellarinaz, Eccentric, Population, Vutang and Ghhd.
