THE new film from the director of The Dark Knight trilogy, Inception and Interstellar opens at Nu Metro the Glen this week, along with a laugh-out-loud new local comedy.

Dunkirk has been described as “the movie event of the year”, courtesy of acclaimed director Christopher Nolan. It follows the story of the miraculous evacuation from Belgium, Britain and France of the Allied soldiers – who were cut off and surrounded by the German army at the harbour of Dunkirk, France, between May 27 and June 4, 1940, during the Battle of France in World War II. Billed as “the event that shaped the world”, this must-see critically acclaimed movie features a stellar cast – including Kenneth Branagh, Cillian Murphy, Mark Rylance and Tom Hardy.
