Ongoing soccer extravaganza

All soccer action watch the ICC on StarSat.

It might be the off season but the soccer action does not stop. The International Champions Cup (ICC) will soon be the order of the day.

The tournament, which kicks off on July 18 and runs until the July 30, will see clubs such as Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Barcelona, Juventus, Manchester United and others take on each other.

This showpiece will take place in USA, China and Singapore.

The tournament will feature the biggest clubs from Europe’s top five leagues, namely the German Bundesliga, English Premier League, Italian Serie A, Spanish La Liga and French Ligue 1.

The ICC provides an opportunity for fans to get a glimpse of their favourite club’s new signings on StarSat as there has been a lot of movement during the transfer window period.

Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich will be eager to show off play-maker James Rodriguez who has joined the club on a two-year loan deal from Real Madrid. They will kick off their campaign against Arsenal on July 19.

The Gunners themselves will be eager to show off powerhouse fullback Sead Kolasinac and ‘goal machine’ Alexandre Lacazette.

Bayern will also face AC Milan, English champions Chelsea and Inter.

There are a number of fixtures that stick out. The famous El Clasico, between Real Madrid and Barcelona, will be on July 30 in a match that will excite not only fans of the clubs but neutrals as well.

There will also be the Manchester derby, Manchester United vs Manchester City, on July 21. The two sides have been busy in the transfer market with City signing Bernardo Silva while United brought in Romelu Lukaku.

Catch a glimpse of how each club could line up in the new season by watching the ICC live and exclusively on StarSat.
