AMCARE’s golf day ended with prizes for all

One could clearly see it’s been a good day!

THE evening of June 28 was filled with excitement for everyone who participated in AMCARE’s annual Golf Day. Everyone was waiting for the prizes to be handed out – and there was plenty!

AMCARE: Nadine Mason, Fred Celliers and Marihet Infantino.

The Golf Day had been a huge success with a full field of 138 golfers and 15 sponsored holes – all in aid of a medical mobile clinic for AMCARE!

FUN: Keegan van Jaarsveld at the Alberton RECORD photobooth during AMCARE’s golf day.

The same evening, Reading Golf Club’s event room was filled, nearly to the brim, and so were everyone’s spirits. As they were waiting for the ceremony to begin, everyone enjoyed the evening with drinks in hand, snacks nearby and friends all around. One could clearly see it’s been a good day.

There were two massive tables with prizes upon prizes stacked upon them and on the floor below. These prizes included a bit of everything – alcoholic beverages, treat-filled hampers, small appliances, vouchers, golf equipment, car accessories and much more. Fred Celliers, chairman of AMCARE, said: “Tonight, everyone who participated in our Golf Day will go home with a prize.” He added that all the prizes were donated by community members and organisations.

GOLFERS: Peter de Lange, Shawn Fitzhenry, Desmond Basson and Ruben Nkosi.

Congratulations to Sannett Marias who was crowned “Pro of the day” for swinging more than 140 strokes in the Beat the Pro competition (this competition was also in aid of raising funds for AMCARE).
