Soup kitchen needs help to feed children

The Rebecca Pillay Foundation and the Child Reach initiative have started a soup kitchen at the Jacksonsdrift Squatter Camp and need your help to keep it going

THE Rebecca Pillay Foundation and the Child Reach initiative are proud to announce that they have started a soup kitchen at the Jacksonsdrift Squatter Camp which sees about 130 children from different child-headed homes being fed from Monday to Friday.

On Saturdays, they feed all the children in the camp which houses about 650 to 700 children. The foundations are in constant need of non-perishables as they use these every single day. Items such as maize meal, rice, samp, dried beans, soup mix, tea bags and sugar are always needed and any contribution will be highly appreciated.

If you want to contribute or get involved in any way, please contact Jeanice Pillay on 073 753 6032 or send her a mail on jeanice@rpfoundation.co.za
