Bakkie donated to help clean South

Ilona Szabo, from Suzuki Johannesburg South, said there is no better way to support this group than by assisting them with this bakkie.

SOUTHERN Business Community Forum (SBCF) wants to the community and businesses in the South to know they can play a major role in keeping the area clean.

Suzuki Johannesburg South as part of SBCF has recently donated a Suzuki Super Carry bakkie to The Hill Awareness Group (THAG). This group has been active in the South, cleaning the area.

Ilona Szabo, from Suzuki Johannesburg South, said there is no better way to support this group than by assisting them with this bakkie.

“We would like to see other businesses in the South supporting this idea of keeping the South clean. We are serious about this campaign. We need to start with cleaning so that we can tackle bigger issues, such as crime, in the area,” she said.

Gareth Dorrington, who is part of THAG, said they work hand in hand with Suzuki Johannesburg South for the care of the community.

“They recognised the work that THAG does, including the clean-up initiative. For this reason we have been given the use of a vehicle sponsored by them during clean-up initiatives. THAG thanks Suzuki Johannesburg South and Meyer Benjamin for the cordial relationship and we are sure that this will go a long way in assisting cleaning up our suburbs,” he said.
