Mondeor SAPS serves justice for theft, murder and rape

Suspects arrested for rape, robbery and murder.

FORTY-THREE-YEAR-OLD Jabulani Moses Nkutha was sentenced by the Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court following a business robbery that occurred in Kibler Park on July 26, 2008.

The suspects entered the business premises after overpowering the security guard. They proceeded to aim their firearms at people on the premises and fired shots that injured one of the customers. They then used a bakkie to load the stolen items and kidnapped a female and took her to some bushes, where she was raped by one of the men. The suspects forced the female victim to drive the bakkie back to the business premises.

Through the hard work of the investigating officer, a suspect was linked to the crime. The station commander of Mondeor SAPS Colonel JJ Bezuidenhoudt commended his member for the good work. The suspect was convicted and will face 87 years direct imprisonment for aggravated robbery and life sentence for rape.

In another case, Simphiwe Doyi (34) was convicted by the Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court after he was found guilty of a murder that occurred on March 12, 2016, in Eikenhof on the R554.

The deceased was walking home when he had a fight with the suspect who then stabbed him several times with a knife.

The accused was sentenced to 14 years direct imprisonment for murder.

Here are some of the successes of Mondeor SAPS between February 23 and March 1: six were arrested for possession of dagga, five for shoplifting, four for fraud, two for theft, two for theft from motor vehicle, two for house robbery, two for business robbery, one for malicious damage to property and one for murder.
