Three held for Eikenhof rape
The victim was raped in the early hours while walking home with friends.
THREE suspects were arrested on February 20 and detained at Mondeor Police Station following a rape that occurred in Eikenhof informal settlement on February 19 at about 03:00.
The victim was walking home with friends. Three men followed them and dragged the victim to the nearby bushes and threatened her with a knife. They then took turns raping her.
All three suspects, between the ages of 21 and 24, were arrested.

Here are some figures on the successes of Mondeor SAPS between February 16 and February 22:
Six were arrested for shoplifting, five for rape, four for malicious damage to property, three for possession of dagga, two for fraud, two for theft out of motor vehicle, two for housebreaking and theft, two for drunk driving and two for dealing in liquor without a licence.
One suspect was arrested for theft, one for sexual assault and one for use of motor vehicle without owner’s consent.
