Save land claim objection form

The deadline for objections against the land claim is on Wednesday, January 4, 2017.

This is a reminder that the deadline for objections against the land claim made by the Bakwena Ba Mare a Phogole community, is Wednesday, January 4, 2017.

Residents wishing to object to that land claim, are encouraged to save and fill the objection form attached.

Another meeting was held in Brackenhurst, Alberton on Saturday, December 17, to inform land owners about the areas that are claimed – and answer questions raised by concerned residents. Residents also had the opportunity to view a map, which included the complete area affected by the land claim.

The office of the Regional Land Claims Commissioner is still investigating the validity of the claim and will announce the results later, hopefully in 2017.

Also attached is a document with relevant contact numbers, should anyone need more information.

Should residents still wish to sign the DA petition against the land claim, they can find the petition form on https://www.petitions24.com/alberton_land_claim
