This is how you can support St Mary’s

Three of the children in the home who have excelled academically are in dire need of sponsorships for their 2017 education.

SUPPORT St Mary’s Children’s Home this festive season and treat a child to a gift, or buy a grocery or toiletry item for the home.

It couldn’t be simpler! The Christmas tree is situated next to the Customer Care Kiosk at The Glen. Remove a tag, buy a gift (details on the tag) or a grocery or toiletry item. Take the gift with the tag to the Customer Care Kiosk or Centre Management Offices (top floor), or take the gift home, wrap and return it to either of the above with the tag attached. That’s it!

Your generosity will go a long way in making Christmas very special for the children at St Mary’s Children’s Home and there’s just over two weeks to make this dream come true.

If you are staying at home this December remember the children of St Mary’s. “If you would like to drop off some Christmas treats for our children it will be very much appreciated. Crisps, cool drinks, sweets, cakes, etc are always welcome, as you can well imagine,” said Sonja Harmse, director of the home. “Most of our children will be staying at the home throughout the holidays and will welcome an outing to the movies, for a burger or ice cream.”

Calling a professional tree-cutter

Two trees within the garden of St Mary’s need cutting down. “They are big though so will have to be expertly removed. They are causing a few problems but due to our budget we can’t afford to hire someone to do the job. If you are interested in helping us, please give me a call.”

Education is key

Three of the children in the home who have excelled academically are in dire need of sponsorships for their 2017 education. “I’m praying someone will help us,” added Sonja.

For more information or if you can help in any way, please phone the home on 011 435 3820 or Sonja on 083 267 3515.
