DIY show held for community

With a good turn out from customers, the day was a roaring success and customers took full advantage of the day specials

ON October 29, The Broads Hardware held its annual show at its Mulbarton premises.

“The objective was for residents to leave with a clearer idea of what their contractor requires and not get ripped off, but at the same time not to underestimate what is needed,” said Sa’Diyya Karodia from The Broads Hardware.

A diverse group of exhibitors from gutter manufacturers to sanitaryware and tap suppliers – everything a homeowner needs – were present. Fantastic specials were negotiated, which will run for the month of November.

The suppliers who attended demonstrated their goods and offered many giveaways and samples.

Some of the suppliers in attendance were: ABE Waterproofing and Chemicals; De Walt Power Tools; Flash Harry Waterproofing; Hamilton Paintbrushes and Rollers; IDM Cement; Lafarge Cement; Prominent Paints; Rainbird Irrigation; Ruwag Drill Bits; Sika Waterproofing and Chemicals; Stier Hand Tools; Sprayon Spray Paints; Triton Power Tools; Tork Craft Power Tool Accessories; and Waterhouse Submersible Pumps.

The local CPF was also in attendance, selling boerewors rolls. “As we are a community-based hardware and building supplier that’s been in existence for over 25 years in Mulbarton, we encourage our customers to sign up with them, and that is why we extend an invite to them every year,” said Karodia.

With a good turn-out of customers, the day was a roaring success. Customers took full advantage of the specials on the day and were given expert advice on a number of home DIY projects.
