Join in at the pet’s blessing event

SAINT Therese Catholic Church, Alberton, will hold a pet’s blessing event on Saturday, October 8, from 10:30 to 12:00.

This event will celebrate the feast of St Francis and the church is inviting anyone who would like to bring their pets to enjoy the morning under the oak trees at St Therese Alberton, 7 Fick Road, Florentia.

The service will commence with a prayer, then Father Kevin Bugler will walk around, blessing all the animals, before people enjoy tea and biscuits.

The animals will be invited to eat cooked mince and dog food, cat food, budgie seed, carrots, rabbit food, etc. The manager of Alberton SPCA, Kingston Siziba, will also give a talk.

Don’t miss out on this very special event.

Donations of animal food will be welcome, and these will go to the SPCA.
