Candidates not up for challenge of a public debate

Ward councillor candidates are challenge to a public debate

It is with great disappointment that I note that not a single candidate has responded to the challenge to a debate in CoJ Ward 56 that was published in your newspaper on June 29, 2016.

Out of the eight other candidates that are standing for ward councillor in Ward 56 not one has indicated that he/she is willing to stand in front of the community of Ward 56 and put his/her or their party’s views across to the community on how to improve Ward 56.

The candidates for Johannesburg Ward 56 are:

1. African Christian Democratic Party – Nkosinath Samuel Dlamini

2. African National Congress – Rejoice Buyiswa Soqaka

3. Al Jama-Ah – Mahomed Haniff Ahmed Manjoo

4. Democratic Alliance – Michael Ian Crichton

5. Economic Freedom Fighters – Precocious Mashele

6. Independent Candidate – Phillip Venter

7. Truly Alliance – Farida Suliman Adam

8. United Democratic Movement – Elliott Zibekile Kapose

9. Vryheidsfront Plus – Carman Natasha Palmer.

I am still open to accept the challenge to a public debate and can be contacted via email at phillipventer@hotmail.com or 082 475 8471.

Phillip Venter, independent candidate Ward 56
