Car falls 20 metres

Authorities were on scene for further investigations.

TWO PEOPLE were injured when they crashed into a road barrier and rolled down an embankment on June 20.

The driver lost control of the car on the M1/M2 split (double-decker area) northbound and the vehicle rolled about 20m down the embankment.

ER24 paramedics and other services attended to the incident. Upon assessment of one of the the patients who was still in the vehicle, it was found that he had sustained critical injuries. He was removed from the vehicle, treated and taken up to the roadway. Another patient found walking around on scene was assessed and found to have sustained minor injuries. The patients were treated and transported to hospital for further medical care.

The exact cause of the incident is unknown.
