Johannesburg Equestrian Center excels

Johannesburg Equestrian Center took part in the first SANESA (South African National Equestrian Schools Association) Interschool event on April 16 and 17, held at Southerns Riding Center.

FOUR riders from Johannesburg Equestrian Center took part in the first SANESA (South African National Equestrian Schools Association) Interschool event on April 16 and 17, at Southerns Riding Center.

Velan Chengalryan and Mistletoe competed in the 60cm Competition Class and came in first place. They also managed to secure another first place in the 60cm Ideal Time Class.

Kayla van der Heever and Trojan Jack rode in the 70cm Competition Class and placed third. They then went on to win the 70cm Ideal Time Class with 13 other riders taking part.

Ashely Jane Barnard and Arop Lidia won the 50cm Ideal Time Class.

One of the adult riders, Jenna Dick, took part in the 60cm Competition Supporter Class on Bodel and took first place.

“Well done to our kids for doing Marist Brothers College proud, as well as Johannesburg Equestrian Center,” said Candice Sheppard, from the center.
