Show Day at Eikenhof WI
Eikenhof Women’s Institute held its Show Day on Wednesday October 14 with 18 members entering the competition.
SUIDEROORD – From baked items, homemade preserves, cut flowers, knitted garments, paintings and craft work, the judges had a hard time selecting the final winners.
Jean Ross came first with 435 points, Julie Board second with 430 points and Pat Leech third with 427 points. “There was very little difference in points between the top three winners and this year the entries were all of a very high standard,” said Joy Boswell President of Eikenhof WI. “It was indeed a pleasure to see such great workmanship.”
The next meeting will take place on Wednesday November 11 at 09:30 in the church hall of St Andrew’s Church, Burger Street, Suideroord. If you are interested in joining this vibrant group of women, phone Joy on 084 526 5857.
