GREEN Business platform meeting will take place yet again at Thaba Ya Batswana with the speaker of the day to be Regional Manager of Mpact Recycling, Alan de Haas.
The topic to be discussed will be recycling makes a difference “A vast experience in many aspects of the recycling industry.”
Recycling is an opportunity for business to contribute in many aspects of the economy. Firstly, the businesses will be able to realise cost savings and even revenue opportunities from recycling.
By implementing recycling programmes, businesses are also contributing to job creation and positive impacts on resources and the environment. Allan’s presentation will look at why businesses need to recycle, the contribution of recycling to job creation and environmental sustainability and what role small and medium enterprises can take in recycling processes.
Alan has been in the recycling industry for 17 years, started off as a weighbridge clerk. Over the years, he held various positions such as branch supervisor and manager with Mondi Recycling and now Mpact Recycling.
Alan has a B-Tech Management degree and has experience in logistics, operations and marketing at each of the three recycling divisions. He has vast knowledge to share regarding the recycling industry in general and is currently the Regional Manager of Mpact Gauteng.
